Our Vision

To realize a future for Uganda where all orphans and other vulnerable children (OVC) have access to quality education and livelihood support. To invest in families, who have experienced acute or chronic trauma, so that they may develop the necessary skills to become responsible and self-sustaining.

Our Mission

To confront poverty and social injustice in Uganda, through the education and empowerment of its most vulnerable children and their families.

Where we work:

Unlike many nonprofits, who focus solely on individual child sponsorship, we strongly believe in creating long term social impact for entire families and communities across the regions we serve: Rakai, Kampala and Mukono.

We have listened to the people of Uganda and the message is clear. Our students, their guardians (widowed mothers, aunties and grandmothers), as well as our own Ugandan staff members all confirm that a sustainable path of transformation requires a holistic approach by empowering:

This is why our 2020-2024 Strategic Plan incorporates the following interconnected objectives:

Empowerment

To advocate and assist in the development of IGAs and other programs that will empower families to move towards sustainability.

Education

To maintain quality education for orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), in Kampala, Mukono and Kyotera Districts of Uganda.

Health Services

To improve access to basic health care services, counseling and psychosocial support programs.

Sustainability

To strengthen institutional capacity ensuring organizational development and growth.
